Step 1: So using a pencil, string and push pin, we used it to draw a ‘perfect’ circle on the foam board. This will make the face of the clock.

Cutting the Countdown Clock

Countdown Clock Face

Step 2: Using the 2nd piece of foam board, cut out a base for the clock.

Making the Countdown Clock

Step 3: Using the leftover pieces of foam board, cut out a ‘leg’ or stand, so the clock will be able to stand up on it’s own.

Countdown Clock Stand

Step 4: Using the Elmer’s XTreme glue, glue the base and leg to the back of the clock.

Step 5: Next, I used Elmer’s Glitter Glue to outline the face of the clock. I also used the Elmer’s paint markers to outline the base of the clock.

Using the extra scraps of foam board, I traced clock hands, cut them out, and then outlined them with the paint markers.

Step 6: After letting the clock completely dry, it’s time to add the clock hands with the x-large brad and also the fun activity post its!

Reusable Countdown Clock

Next, I added the post it notes in the hourly positions and wrote a fun activity on each one, using a sharpie.
